Thank You!
Fencing can be expensive
when travel, accomodation and kit are brought into the
equation. That's why it's so welcome when others lend
a hand.
This year Fife Region
granted £150 each to Lauren, Ahron and Chloe.
Thank you Fife.
Even members of the
public help out.
Jim Black of Coaltown
sponsored Chloe so that she could pay for her Scottish
International Tracksuit and Travel to the Five Nations.
MH Engineering (Mark
and Lawrie Horkisson) also came up trumps with a generous
donation to Chloe's War Chest that will help with new
kit.
Jim, Mark and Lawrie.
Thank you very much!

Try Before You Buy Session
Wednesday 9th September
2009
Thanks to all (Parents
as well as Kids) who turned up to get a feel for the
sport of Fencing. Judging by the (exhausted) smiles
at the end of the evening, many of you will be coming
back for more punishment!
Here's a few pictures from the TBYB

Thank you ASDA

On Friday, 14th August, Chloe along
with some family and friends spent five hours bag-packing
at the ASDA store in Kirkcaldy to raise funds for the
new season.
Asda, in conjunction with SportsAid,
sponsor young athletes and Chloe was lucky enough to
be picked earlier in the year. In addition to the initial
grant the store runs fund-raising events like this.
A tombola has also provided much needed funds.
"If it hadn't been for ASDA,
I wouldn't have been able to take part in as many contests
as I did" said Chloe. "WIth the extra money
that ASDA and Jean Ritchie have helped me get today,
I'll be able to buy some new kit as well"
Jean Ritchie is the Events Coordinator
at the Kirkcaldy store and is to Chloes' right in the

Well done Katrina for coming joint
FIRST Overall in the Leon Paul Junior U9 Sabre Series
AND second placed in the U9 Epee.
Congratulations are also due to Chloe
who has made it into the top 100 in the British Womans'
Senior Foil. Not a bad way to bring your second year
of competitive fencing to a close!
Fantastic result, Ladies!
